In my UI I move the buffs towards the bottom of the screen where I have moved most of my UI elements. I also resize them. This is the code I use for that.Move the buffs somewhere convenientf=BuffFramef:SetMovable(1)f:SetUserPlaced(true)f:SetScale(.8)f:ClearAllPointsf:SetPoint('TOPRIGHT',WorldFrame,'BOTTOMRIGHT',-290,-4)Then I need to make sure (1) they stay there, and (2) the debuffs also get placed where I want.
Addon - Move buff/debuffs bar off the top right. Looking for a simple addon to just move the buffs from top right of my screen, to somewhere else. A community for World of Warcraft: Classic fans. Created Apr 23, 2016. Quickest way to modify a frame - Go into Keybindings, scroll down to MoveAnything and bind a key to 'Move Frame - Safe'. They key you bound now toggles a mover on the topmost frame underneath your mouse cursor.
Buff Buddy replaces the default buff and debuff display in your UI with a much more customizable version.Recent Changes:. Fixed a silly mistake in the code that prevented the scale from being saved when changing the buff/debuff frame scale. Fixed an issue that prevented some 'dummy' buffs/debuffs from hiding after locking the frames. Changed the up and down buttons for the priority lists to properly move them up and down. Turns out I had them backwards somehow lol. With Buff Buddy, you can:. Customize your buff and debuff displays separately. Change the size of the icons.
Create a priority list to always show certain buffs first. Change the vertical and horizontal spacing between each icon. Change how many icons will show in each row. Change the direction in which the rows of icons will grow. Create as many profiles as you like so you can quickly switch between different set-ups.Tips:. The Spell ID for any buff/debuff can be found on website. Search the spell you want and you can find the Spell ID in your browsers address bar.(eg:; 'spell=21562'.
First off I just wanna say I find your addon very useful so thank you for that, but I am having a small issue. When I try changing the size of my buff/debuff icons (buff frame scale) it works, but as soon as i either log out or reload my UI the size goes back to default. And yes I am locking frames after, and it acknowledges the save.
All other changes I make seem to save except for that one. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the addon but it doesn't seem to work. Thanks for reading and any reply would be greatly appreciated, thank you! Through right clicking the buff frames? But you can do it through a macro. Because Buff Buddy makes the buff icons so customizable, the buff frames are not considered part of the default UI anymore, resulting in 'taint'. This means that the wow client wont let you do certain things like cancel buffs by right clicking the icons(in combat), because the buttons arent the same as the default ones, if that makes sense.
I have the buttons on click disabled while in combat, because if it was enabled, it would just say that an interface action has been blocked. This is blizzards way of preventing bots from being made as addons.
Hi, what you've done is very useful mod. I've been long searching for this kind of thing since a few of my favorites were abandoned. However, I'm having a problem with moving the frames.
I can't seem to understand where the anchor point is. After I unlocked the frames, I managed to shift the buff frame slightly by clicking somewhere between the icons, but I can't reproduce this now - I've been clicking everywhere on the panel and tried dragging, but it didn't work. What might have caused it, and is it possible for you to add a visible anchor marker? Also, a good option would be adding a tickbox to remove Spell ID tooltips. It's a great feature indeed, but personally I would love to switch it off during regular gameplay and turn it on (in a different profile) when I'm tweaking the interface.
Thanks for the quick response and the tweaks. I have made a clean install, deleting both Buff Buddy and cleaning the old variables in the cache, but unfortunately the situation is even worse now. Moving the frames still occurs at random and usually stops after the first try, and now most of the settings go back to default all the time.I have absolutely no idea of what may have caused it.
I disabled all the addons except Buff Buddy and it's the same. My only guess would be my client working in a language different than English and thus using letters that break the code. Buff Buddy is designed to work on any locale. It should be functioning properly providing no other addons are interfering with it. There is one thing you can try though that may be causing an issue if you were using the beta version previously. Type the following in game to reset your options manually./run BuffBuddyProfiles = nil BuffBuddyActiveProfile = nil ReloadUIBe sure to click the 'OK' or 'Apply' button when you are done making changes in the options menu, and not just closing off the window.
Buff Buddy will print a message in your chat box letting you know if the profile saves properly.
